Statement of Quality

In my artwork, I strive to produce a product that can wash from the soul the dust of everyday life.
That standard is a high bar, not easily reached, but each and every painting I produce represents the my best effort. One must from time to time challenge one's capacity.

Artist's Notes
(Wildlife Paintings, American Wildlife, Original Oil Painting )

The subject of this original oil painting is the roseate spoonbill. Few things in nature compare to the bright-pink glow of a roseate spoonbill. Is it the luminous pale pink plumage with red highlights or the long bill with the spoon shaped tip that so enchants those lucky enough to paint this long-legged wader? From my point of view, plein air painting these birds in natural light is essential.

The original oil painting shown above is available as a Giclee on Canvas.

To wake the soul by tender strokes of art. Alexander Pope
