The subject of this original oil painting is a horse drawn hay rake. Old horse-drawn machinery was a familiar sight growing up in the 1950s and 1960s . Most farmers had a few relics of horse-drawn equipment, like this hay rake, that were quietly rusting away.

 

The oil painting above is a recollection of those times and is available for purchase on canvas.
